FIFA and Vivo have entered into a partnership for the upcoming two World Cup tournaments, which will take place in Russia and Qatar. As a part of that, Vivo has announced a new variant of the Vivo X21, dubbed as Vivo X21 World Cup Edition. The smartphone will be available in exclusive colors and branding.
The Vivo X21 World Cup Edition will be available in two color options — Tibetian Blue and Victory Red, aiming to celebrate the flag colors of the host nation Russia. Further, the smartphone also features a logo of the tournament in the lower back, along with a fancy pattern on the back panel.
Apart from these visual changes, all the specifications of the smartphone remain same. It features a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and two options for internal storage — 64GB and 128GB.
There’s also a microSD card slot, enabling users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity. Coming to the camera department, on the front side, the smartphone features a 12-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. On the rear side, there’s a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 3,200mAh battery, with support for fast charging support.
Previously, Vivo had launched the Vivo X20 FIFA World Cup Edition in December last year. Apart from that, the China-based company had previously launched a few custom edition smartphones, including Vivo X9 NBA Edition, Vivo X20 King Glory Limited Edition, among others.
