For now the details of the Redmi Note 5 are scarce, even if there have been some leaks that confirm its existence.
The Redmi Note 5, according to whatever that has leaked so far, looks like a serious upgrade over the Redmi Note 4 that, according to Xiaomi is the best selling phone in India. According to some information, not verified by Xiaomi, leaked on Weibo, the Redmi Note 5 will come with the upgraded core hardware as well as a much improved camera performance.
The details leaked on Weibo show that the Redmi Note 5 may come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Although this processor too has 8-cores similar to what the Snapdragon 625 inside the Redmi Note 4 has, overall it should still amount a major upgrade. Compared to the Snapdragon 625, the Snapdragon 660 should be much faster, at least theoretically.
